Fabric basket D.I.Y

In this week I made a couple of fabric baskets. They are very practical. Small baskets will fit well on the shelves and in the big ones you can put toys, yarn etc.
It's better to choose thick fabric and also use interfacing to help the basket hold its shape.
For counting the amount of fabric use the equation: diameter х the number Pi (=3.14159).  For instance, I have the diameter of the bottom 28 cm, so I need 88 cm fabric in length.
In this blog you can find a really good tutorial how to sew this kind of fabric baskets.

Lttle K discovered the new way how to use it :3

What I made last week

This is a pillow I made last week.  For this oval print I took 4 different stamps. I just cut them from potatoes ( cut one potato in to 2 pieces and cut out an uneven oval). The printing took some time of course, but the result was worth it!  Just don't forget to put paper under the fabric to protect your table from the acrylic paint. Also, when doing your print, press tightly the potato stamp to the fabric to avoid unprinted parts. On the other side I sewed a zipper with the same color as the oval print.
