D.I.Y. Chevron Pillow Cover

You need:
Pillow
Fabric
Acrylic colors
Roller
Painter's tape

The front side
Measure and cut the piece of fabric the size of a pillow + 2 cm for each side. My pillow is 50x50cm. It means cut the square 54x54cm.
Using the painter's tape create the chevron ornament. The space between lines can be equal or not. Just try to stick the tape as straight as possible, without curved corners, because after painting the ornament will look inaccurate.

Press the tape ornament tightly with your fingers so that color doesn't flow under the tape.
Paint the lines. Don't forget to put the piece of paper under the fabric. The paper will soak up excess paint.

Than delete all painter's tape (don't wait till the paint turns dry). Wait until paint completely turns dry and then iron the fabric on the back side to fasten the paint.

 The back side

Cut 2 pieces of fabric for the back side. On the finished pillow the edges have to overlap each other (about 5 cm.). My sizes are 31x54cm

Turn down one side and sew it. Do the same thing with the other piece of fabric.

Connecting

Let's start to connect the parts together. Put all parts with front sides inside. The two back sides have to overlap each other. Pin fabric along perimeter and sew it.

Then iron fabric one more time and turn inside out.

Cut 4 pieces of laces and sew them to both sides.

Let's start the last part. Iron all corners and edges. Sew perimeter of the pillow staying about 1 cm away from the edge.

Hooray!

About cartoons...

We like cartoons, what about you?!
I want to share 4 special cartoons. Maybe you will discover something new))
Here are the best of the best which are definitely worth your attention.

Panda! Go Panda! ( Panda Kopanda)

One from the many great animated film of Hayao Miyazaki. This cartoon is full of colors, happiness and pandas, of course!)
This is a story about a little girl, Mimiko. She is kind, welcoming and polite with all: robbers, police men, sellers and even pandas.
When her grandma was busy and left Mimiko alone, she immediately found 2 unusual friends - A big panda and a small one. So, here the adventure begins!

My neighbor Totoro.

My neighbor Totoro - this is not just a cartoon) For all adults this animated film is worth watching.
This film leaves no viewer untouched! This fairy world, created by Hayao Miyazaki, completely consumes the viewer whose smile will not soon leave his face. Also there are many unforgetable heroes and great music!
Hayao Miyazaki has prodused many other excellent animated films which are not less recommentable than the 2 mentioned above.

Let's finish with japanese animation and move to French ones)
Let's meet "Minuscule" which is a series of short cartoons about bugs.
Made with lots of humor for little (and big ones too) lovers of insects.

Cheburashka

This cartoon is very famous and really loved in Russia and abroad also) in Japan I saw lots of things bearing illustrations of this character.

Cheburashka- he is a small shaggy animal, with big ears and cutie face. Naive and so kind)

Of course, that is not all the cartoons which my boys watch. This is just the beginning)
